The following recipes for pet treats and other meals have been recommended to me by friends and relatives. I hope your pet enjoys these healthy and natural specialties.
Healthy Cookies
| 1 lb | Boiled liver |
| 3 | Cloves of garlic |
| 3 cups | Flour |
| 3 cups | Corn meal |
| 3 cups | Whole wheat flour |
| 3 cups | Oatmeal |
| 3 | Eggs |
| 1/2 cup | Olive oil |
| 3-4 cups | Cold water |
- Prepare dough
- In a large bowl mix together the four flours.
- Bleng liver in a food processor with the 3 cloves of garlic.
- In another bowl mix the liver with the eggs and olive oil.
- Gradually mix flour and the water into the liver mixture to eventually form a large ball of dough.
- Roll the dough and cut the cookies to the shape and size you wish.
- Cook in the oven at 250 degrees F. for 2 hours.
- When cool store cookies in an air tight container.

Dog Biscuits
| 2 1/2 cups | Whole wheat flour |
| 1/2 cup | Non-fat dry milk powder |
| 1 tsp | Sugar |
| 1 tsp | Salt |
| 6 tbsp | Margarine |
| 1 | Egg |
| 1/2 cup | Cold water (approx.) |
- Mix ingredients with cold water.
- Knead for 3 minutes forming dough into a ball.
- Roll to 1/2 inch thick and cut into dog bone shapes.
- Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet for 30 minutes at 350 F.
Variations: add 3 tbsp liver powder or powdered chicken/beef bouillon, or dried soup greens or dried soup mix.
